As part of Macomb County Habitat for Humanity, our ReStore is a nonprofit thrift store that accepts donations of new and gently used furniture, appliances, home decor, and building supplies from the public. When possible, donated building materials will be used to build and preserve Habitat homes, and extra building materials, along with furniture, appliances, and other items are sold to the public at discounted retail prices.
Each donation and purchase makes a big difference toward the mission of Habitat for Humanity: to build homes, community and hope. But the impact goes far beyond that.
Macomb Habitat for Humanity gives low income families a chance at home ownership. Macomb Habitat brings people together to build homes, giving hope to families who otherwise would not qualify for home ownership. Giving families an opportunity to build a future. A safe and secure environment where children thrive in the spirit of love generated by the permanency of a home. Macomb Habitat changes lives generationally by providing families, stability, security, safety, influencing children’s’ lives.
Macomb Habitat depends largely on the generosity of our community, local businesses, individuals, corporations, and churches, to support our mission that no one should live in substandard housing. Macomb Habitat does not give away houses! We partner with low-income, hardworking families who purchase their mortgage through our program. We are reaching out to ask you to help support the dreams of individuals and families in Macomb County who would not qualify for homeownership the traditional way but will qualify the Habitat way. We cannot continue our fight against substandard housing, without the support of community minded companies.
